After upgrade to 2011 gadget does not show any status and icons

Right-click on the desktop and choose Gadget from the menu and you should see the Norton Gadget in the display of gadgets.

Open up the Windows Start menu and type in "restore gadget". Click on the option named restore desktop gadget installed with windows. Hopefully that will make the gadget show up.

Just wanted to make sure if its NIS/NAV/N360/etc. Its odd that gadget doesn't appear in the list.

Did you upgrade to NIS2011 from a previous version of NIS?
Have you tried an uninstall and reinstall of NIS2011?

Perhaps the Russian version is a little different due to language differences.
Reinstall not helped… I install NIS on win7 x86 rus on VMware 7 and gadget work, but on my main system gadget is dissapear…
Did you try restore the gadget like I said earlier? Also do you have other gadgets on your screen? Does the NIS gadget appear in the gadget list?

Have you tried simply restarting your main system after installing NIS?
I'm using Vista and the gadget never appears automatically for me. Once NIS is installed, I restart the system and the gadget appears without any interaction on my behalf.

If so, what files and folders are there?
