I have been using Google Chrome off and on for certain web activity but the one thing stopping me from a full swap from my ages old favorite of Firefox is the Identity Safe. I've become utterly dependant on this feature. I have been patiently waiting and checking back every so often to see if the functionality has been added to Chrome yet. So, I guess I'm just echoing the previous requests. Please and thank you.
I also use Chrome, and would like to see a Norton Toolbar for it.
I too would like to see support for a safe web lite extension for chrome
I would like to move to Chromium based browsers also. My priority:
1. Identity Safe
2. Intrusion blocking (PCMag reviewers say can be more effective than Firewall, thumbs up)
3. Search results rating
4. Web site rating on toolbar (but lose the toolbar and norton search box)
Please test on other Chromiom based browsers such as by Comodo & SRWare.
My kids use Online Family (as well as Internet Security Suite) and they hate having to use Safari or Firefox on the Mac (unstable vs slow in those two cases) and have begged me to let them go back to Chrome. But since Norton doesn't support Chrome on OnlineFamily, I can't. So my vote is in for online family as soon as possible!
I'd like to vote 2 points for Google Chrome!
I would like to use the Safe Web feature and Identity Safe Log-ins as I loved using these in IE8, but after trying GC I find IE8 to be a dog in comparison!
I'm another fan of Norton products and they have rarely let me down!
Just came on to support the request for Chrome & Opera to be supported
I've been waiting for the chrome toolbar for 2 years now. I only work with IE because of the norton toolbar - Please hurry and develop, :)
I would like to see a Norton toolbar for Chrome with all the bells and whistles already available for IE & Firefox. Google says that there are 120 million active users. It's hardly a minor browser any longer.
I hope that Norton supports a toolbar for Chrome soon. If not, come renewal time, I will have to look at other security packages that offer support for the Chrome browser.
great idea! i use chrome as well :)
I also hope that Google Chrome and SRWare Iron will be fully suppported by NAV, NIS and Online family.
I really do not understand what is taking Norton Symantec so long to implement a compatible version of their Internet security and Identity safe for Google Chrome. It is not so new and far exceeds IE and Firefox in speed. I really think this is a disservice to subscribers. I hope Symantec will move forward on this issue soon. it is overdue! Thanks.
I came across PCMag's positive review of Norton 360 as a security suite, and was excited to use it, but I'm a Google Chrome user, just because I find it to be fast, stable, and not a memory hog. It also has around 14-15% browser market share, at least according to a study in January of this year.
I see that the request for Chrome support has been under consideration for 8 months now, and that there actually seems to be some sort of plan to support Google Chrome in the future.
I just wanted to put my vote of encouragement towards that development effort, as many with the tech community have started to use Chrome as their primary Web browser.
Thanks for your time and consideration.

I'm in total agreement with this suggestion. I've recently switched to Chrome as my browser at both work and home. Not having the Norton toolbar available is hugely inconvenient. Speed wise Chrome leaves both Firefox and IE in the dust and it doesn't gobble up my CPU and memory like the others do. Come on Norton get this moving as far as I can see there is more support behind this then any of the other planned changed.
yeah , google chrome is now very popular , i think it`s time that NIS support it with it`s toolbar
Until N360 will support Opera, Chrome, other browsers, here is a suggestion-feature request-for Windows 7 N360 users:
Give us a direct shortcut to Identity Protection when right-clicking the Norton icon, so we can QUICKLY access login and cards information when using Chrome or other browsers. Direct access would at least give us quick access to login and cards for copy and paste, especially when Chrome will not save passwords on HTTPS sites …until Norton360 fully supports other browsers.
Adding a shortcut link to the Norton 360 icon cannot be that difficult, can it? There are nine shortcuts there now… you would make a lot of people happier right away.
I just renewed my Norton subscription and I am disappointed that we still do have support for google chrome. Chrome is much faster but I loose some capability without the availability of the Norton Tool bar functions.
Hi all - Our new NIS 2012 beta is out, and YES, there is support for Chrome!
The beta is free, and you can try it out at http://us.norton.com/beta/

I, too, would like to see Norton 360 v5 support for Google Chrome, including Norton Task Bar, Safe Web Search, anti-phishing, and Norton Tools 15! I have many sites that work much better in Chrome than IE9, but I sorely miss the added security and ease of use of the Norton Toolbar, accelerators, and similar plug-ins.
I would also like to see a better search engine for Safe Web Search than Ask. Ask is rather feeble, even if it is "revenue sharing" income source for Symantec/Norton. Remain customer focused, as well as state of the art technology as in the original Peter Norton Norton Utilities. The Symantec Norton Utilities is better than nothing but not as advanced in features and under the hood tools as Peter Norton's super toolbox.
Please give Chrome and these suggestions serious consideration!
Kudos for the return of some missed features in the Norton 360 v5 recent update!

P.S.: Elsewhere in these posts is a Symantec (?) response that Norton Toolbar is impossible because Chrome does not support toolbars. However, Chrome DOES support an increasing number of Extensions and Plug-ins, so what is impossible? Get going and develop a Norton Toolbar-like Extension, a Safe-Web Extension, and at a minimum, ID-Safe Extension. You can even implement them in phases. I VOLUNTEER to beta test (and am a very experienced technical beta tester for years, including security and confidential medical software apps!
I would not buy Norton again next year if it still doesn't have support for Google chrome. The reason being, I love Google Chrome, but its password management is shocking! The only way is for a proper password manager. Also, Chrome does not have safe/smartscreen filter and Norton provides this for Internet explorer.
GET A MOVE ON NORTON AND MAKE A CHROME TOOLBAR!
Can't wait!
