OpenHardwareMonitor is portable…so, as test: added Open Hardware Desktop desktop folder to Scans & Antivirus exclusions → did not stop blocked vulnerable driver prompt with Block vulnerable kernel drivers on

so, as test: added OpenHardwareMonitor.exe to Apps permissions for Norton features → did not stop blocked vulnerable driver prompt with Block vulnerable kernel drivers on

so, as test: added OpenHardwareMonitorLib.sys to Scans & Antivirus exclusions → did not stop blocked vulnerable driver prompt with Block vulnerable kernel drivers on

Note: OpenHardwareMonitor files are not signed.

I keep getting an annoying pop up from Norton on my Windows PC saying Norton blocked a vulnerable driver " openhardwaremonitorlib.sys " .
From my research this driver is normal and safe, but I can’t find where to add an exception to load this driver and turn off vulnerable driver blocking in my settings.

Maybe, Norton detects Lib.sys as vulnerable kernel driver and there’s no process to exclude vulnerable kernel driver block.

Maybe, Norton is telling us what needs to be done and that’s all that can be done.

If you need to add an exception to load this driver, you need to turn off vulnerable drivers blocking in Settings
