Hallo Community,
ich nutze FanControl um meine Gehäuselüfter zu überwachen. Ich habe mir heute Norton 360 gekauft und beim öffnen von FanControl kommt die Meldung: Der Treiber von fanctronl.sys wurde aufgrund von Sicherheitslücken blockiert" Erkannt durch Norton-Manipulationsschutz. Ich finde jedoch keine Möglichkeit, diese Datei freizugeben, weil ich aktuell das Programm nicht mehr nutzen kann - hat jemand ähnliche Erfahrungen oder eine Idee?

Good morning 
yes that is the file/ tool. I use it several years without any problems and i need it for controlling all the fans in my System but i dont know how i can unblock this file.

If you need to add an exception to load this driver, you need to turn off vulnerable drivers blocking in Settings.

then ran FanControl.exe in Norton Sandbox
then ran Identify Fans
my entry level machine probably doesn’t have fans with speed sensors
Note: I’m not familiar with Fan Control nor speed sensors.

No notion whether Fan Control really runs in Norton Sandbox or only appears to run.

Please confirm Norton 360 version # = 24.8.9372 (build 24.8.9372.871)
Please confirm you’re seeing Norton blocked a vulnerable driver…notice here
Do you see Settings? click Settings > see General tab > see Block vulnerable kernel drivers
perfect - many many thanks now i found it and it works perfekt. Hopefully in the future it will be possible that i can allow fanspeed and block other programms - many many thanks for you fast and perfect help - have a nice evenig
So, after you added exception to load this driver…are you able to turn Block vulnerable kernel drivers…on…and still run FanControl?.
at first i confirm that i use the same norton and got the same message. This software runs well after i turn of the vulnerable kernel driver - but i have no success with adding the .exe to the exceptions - i switched now to another fan controll software which make no problems with norton . it is Argus Monitor. I dont want to run with the turn off vulnerbale kernel driver blocking tool

you’re adding FanControl.sys exception - not FanControl.exe
Block vulnerable kernel drivers…off…allows FanControl.sys to load.
fancontrol.sys was blocked - not fancontrol.exe
Hi bjm after norton has blocked it i cant find the .sys file anymore. But for me is it now perfect - i run another program and has the complete guard from norton activated. But many many thanks for your fast help - that was awesome.

I did not find fancontrol.sys file because the sys file/driver did not load.
I had to disable Block vulnerable kernel drivers and run the installer, again.
Block vulnerable kernel drivers…off…allows FanControl.sys to load/install.
Salve a tutti. Ancora oggi c’è il problema con fancontrol. Ho scritto all’assistenza norton e mi rispondono che non sanno cosa fare. Sinceramente sono molto sconcertato. Ho pagato per avere un prodotto funzionante e invece non va.
Qualcuno ha trovato una soluzione?

Still does not work with FanControl. Very bad, this is a popular program with system builders… a highly recommended program from Jayz2Cents.
Still must turn off “block vulnerable kernel drivers”. Not good, I paid for this feature.

turn off is temporary…if you trust FanControl → Add app permission
