I just got a message from Norton regarding an automatic Upgrade. My concern is what version they are announcing? It is version 24. Is that the version so many are complaining about. If so, are the problems fixed?
I am running V24 on Windows 11 with no problems. except for some cosmetic issues.
@Phil_Streetrodder @xjoex This new version does have a myriad of issues, mostly at the level where tech inclined users have been left without the abilities they had in the previous 22.xx versions. There is a thread where most are posting their issues in hopes that they will all be corrected. Not everyone, as xjoex posted are having issues. Different hardware and other installed software are always different from one device to another. Please read through the thread to gain some insight about what is being seen, coupled with our efforts to make those issues front facing for Norton to address.

Can I prevent the “automatic” upgrade from installing?
Yes you can. Keep in mind you will also disable ALL virus definitions and other updates as well.

To add to SoulAsylum’s information… To do this you need to turn off Automatic LiveUpdate.
