Has anyone else noticed the redesigned appearance of the Norton Community forums?
To the Symantec folks involved in this, it looks very nice. Great work!

Yes Phil, it does look good - would really be nice if all the links at the bottom worked in IE9 or FF10.
Good catch, yank!
Hi Phil,
Yes, I noticed it too. Kind of sleek!
There must have been problems though, since some pages wouldn't render correctly at times.
Growing pains...
FWIW,

I'm having issues with slow page loading, delayed scrolling and frequent extended CPU spikes with FIrefox 10. It looks like there is more work to do to load each page and the slowdown in my browser is very noticeable.
Curious (to me) the links open (the ones that work) in the same tab.
Have to use ctrl to open in new tab.
Seems like the links should open page in new tab... imo

Yep, looks good but really slow to load pages in Firefox 10.

No joy with IE9 either
Slow with IE 8 too and copy / pasteing message text into another message freezes the browser.
Is anyone else noticing a sever slowdown, waiting for the Norton Community Websites to load? It seems like since all the links were added to the bottom of each page, it takes 20 to 30 seconds for the pages to load? Other sites are not this slow?

Yes, I think most are experiencing slower speeds while trying to navigate the community forums and participate in discussions.
I tried FF 9.0.1 and it is working normally. Maybe because it doesn't show the links at the bottom of each page. If I could just find a way to block them with IE8...
the links at the bottom of the page to
Products
•Norton 360
•Norton Internet Security
•Norton AntiVirus
•Norton Ghost
•Norton Utilities
do not work.
Hi there,
Copying and Pasting is a nightmare (or daymare) using keyboard or mouse.
Page load times are extraordinarily slow.
FWIW.

jo,
Those links work for me .... except I get permission denied when I get to the destination. I guess someone didn't unlock the door at the new destination ....
Be assured everyone that Norton is well aware of the glitches .....
Hugh,
a click on these links gives me always error message HTTP 403
So what do mean with: Those links work for me .... except I get permission denied ...
Jo,
I see that is probably an ornamental message that the Google Toolbar that I use provides:
and of course they include an advert!
Despite such things I value the Google toolbar for one simple option the settings include -- anything you highlight in a message or website you are reading automatically appears in the Google Search box and so I can search on something that puzzles me, like the wording of an error message or a description of what goes wrong, and Googel on it without having to type in the search term.
It's an option you can turn on or off but it saves me a lot of time in much of the support work I do here and elsewhere.
New forum look is Great! However sooo slow to load.......Thanks..Gorpy1
It's speeded up for me since late afternoon ....

Reacting a bit quicker for me now. May be the time or it may be running on my beta system which is bare bones but stil modest.
