Where in N 360 are the settings to allow devices. I’ve googled it but the options are not what show in my N360 app.
I think my Norton is blocking our network printer as none of the laptops connected to the network can now see the printer, and HP Smart shows it offline although in the printer console it shows a valid IP Address. We can’t see the printer in the Modem DHCP Reservations or the Device Table.
This all was working until late last week when the printer became “offline”.
If you are using the VPN in 360, this is what you need to try. Click on Privacy on the left of the 360 screen, and then click on Open in the VPN section. Click on the Settings tab and scroll down to the setting for Access Local Devices with VPN. Turn that on and test.
This is so weird, we’ve had a printer connected ethernet to switching unit for years. Couple of weeks ago it stopped connecting, printer network screen shows “connected” but all laptops show printer “offline”.
Spent hours on phone with HP and ISP provider as printer previously auto assigned IP address. When stopped connecting, was assigning invalid IP address. Have since tried new ethernet cable, connected directly to switching unit in different port, connected it directly to modem.. printer never came “online”.
Now have manually assigned IP address for printer within our DHCP reservations. The printer network screen shows correct manual IP address, is “connected”, but all network laptops show “offline”.
Have rebooted modem and switching unit, uninstalled/reinstalled printer, at wits end.. almost as if the Ethernet port doesn’t work however we replaced the printer with same model and new one does not connect ethernet either.. grrrr
No VPN… I think we have confirmed is a printer issue. We connect our old printer to the ethernet cable, and the printer connects immediately to the network
