Norton Driver Update wrecked my sound drivers Lenovo C740-14IML Windows 10 64 bit OS

I used Norton Driver Update to check my drivers quite a while back in time. After doing so my sound has not worked.
It loaded the incorrect sound drivers and from that time onward an error shows up in my windows 10 device manager.

Error shows under Other Devices with Intel High Definition DSP showing no driver loaded.

I tried a windows 10 update and the error did not change and says I have the latest drivers. I tried going back with a restore point and it was the same.

The Lenovo website has 2 options of downloading sound drivers for my PC.

I have tried both of them but nothing changes.
I have tried deleting the driver and when device manager and loading them.
Same situation and error.

Can someone please tell me how I can go about removing the old and incorrect drivers my machine keeps going back to and exactly what I should be loading to fix the error and get my speakers operational again.

The error is common with this model Lenovo device but I just can not find or load the correct drivers.

I hope Norton can understand that this is why I never paid to purchase the driver updater from the trial after it “stuffed up” my sound drivers.

Any help would be appreciated and especially if someone could kindly put the steps in order for me to solve this issue.

Thank you to anyone willing to assist.

Caveat: I do not run Norton Driver Updater

@Jamie_Goodlad @Phixer Use system restore, restore your Windows install to a date PRIOR to using Driver Updater. Don’t us that software, rely on the OEM and Windows Update for your drivers and software updates:
