Norton Driver Updater

I just purchased Norton Driver Updater and I clicked on scan, then I click on Update All, and nothing happens. It won’t update anything. I tried restarting my PC but that didn’t work either. I tried to update one at a time but it still does not update anything.
What do I need to do to get it to update drivers.

Did you Sign In via Driver Updater Settings? As I recall DU users reporting needing to Sign In. Please post your progress.

@Brice Across the forums, user experiences with Driver Updater say to use extreme caution with using it. In some instances, users have reported their systems being rendered not bootable after using it. Our recommendations are, using Windows Updates for most drivers since Microsoft works with OEM vendors and deploys vetted software vice pulling something from the DU magic hat that bricks a device. Use your hardware manufacturer websites. And as always, backup your device BEFORE running any maintenance tools on Windows, no matter what the version of Windows may be.

I just purchased Norton Driver Updater. After a scan, it shows 11 drivers out of date. The problem is that none of the buttons to update drivers work. I click the “update all” button and nothing happens. I spam click it, nothing happens. I click the arrow right of individual drivers and click update, then a new window pops up with the title of “Norton Driver Updater” and a spinning wheel. I left it like this over night and nothing. I have restarted my computer several times but nothing.

I downloaded Norton Driver Updates application today January 4 2025.
I mistakenly assumed I was already signed in to ALL Norton applications when I purchased and downloaded the addon Application called Driver Updates. I found after two attempts of clicking on update all on outdated drivers, as well as trying to update individual driver updates that were giving me a blank screen with a never ending load circle that I needed to read the help option which is applicable to every software application. I clicked the hamburger menu (3 horizontal lines) in the top right corner of the screen that tells you that drivers need updating. There is an option within this dropdown menu to sign in. Once I signed into Norton I was as able to update each outdated driver immediately.

I had the same problem multiple times. Then I found and followed the advice to uninstall the app via Windows 11 Control Panel and reinstall through my Norton account subscriptions. Now it works as intended. But having read some of the other responses I will cancel the subscription before the trial period ends.
