I am "informed" (simply?) that my Norton has been updated,. ( thus worrying me about things (services) that have be added), It could have asked me if I would like to try the various services at no charge and no commitment. Like any straight forward company would do.
It expects me to just click OK ?? (the other choice is to "learn more", (which I clicked), and among strange technical gobbly-gook, it shows a screenshot of the usual norton installed "features" with the VPN in red and saying I must "buy it now". Is this not confusing to an average home user (which I am). Because at least I have the brains to know that my account includes the VPN.
Does norton see any potential for making a good customer paranoid and confused here?
Norton 360 completes its deep scan by insisting solutions are available if I pay extra and install Norton Utilities. BUT I have Norton Utilities installed with an expiry in 2050!
I consider Norton company now harassing me also. "YOUR NORTON PROTECTION HAS BEEN UPDATED" (Feb.25,2022)
? Now I should accept the software updater; the smart scan updates; the norton crypto..? And on the "Learn more screen", it looks like the VPN will now become optional.
And I am expected to click the big yellow OK? Norton does not know about the human reactions to their company.
I am already thinking about quitting antivirus completely. They have given me so much stress in the one year plus I have used their product.
If you're asking about Run Smart Scan.
At the end of Smart Scan run -> View Solution -> Norton presents advertisements.
If you know your machine is okay.
Just ignore the advertisements -> Not Interested.
