Norton Security 22.5.0.120 - Hot Issues

Hi everyone,

The below issues have been reported by customers after updating to Norton Security version 22.5.0.120. We are aware of these issues and are investigating them. In the majority of cases, the issues are resolved by following these steps:

  1. run the Norton Removal Tool to remove the current product
  2. login to Norton Management to download & install version 22.5 again. The direct install (as opposed to the patch update) resolves the issues seen

 

HOT ISSUES - v22.5

  • NS prompts “Restart Required” after each reboot. [link]
  • "Your trial Version has expired, you need to activate it now” message is seen, despite having active subscription days left. [link]
  • Changes in the background settings without the user's consent. [link]
