Norton Security Suite doesn't detect/remove redirect virus

I have a Windows 7 64bit laptop and I've had a redirect virus for awhile now. I have scanned numerous times with the security suite on a full computer scan. I've used the Norton Power Eraser as well. I used to have Microsoft Security Essentials until I came across a virus that MSE couldn't get rid of and since I'm a Comcast subscriber I was able to get the Norton Security Suite. Can someone please help me get rid of this redirect virus.

It doesn't have a specific search engine it redirects me to.

It has to redirect you to a page / address.

It redirects me to many different webpages. If it helps, I just looked at my quarantine and there are a lot of high severity listed. I have no unresolved threats.

can you export that list in Norton and attach to a message.

Quads

I hope it lists them all and not just the first one listed. First time exporting.

-Just tried posting it and it's not a valid extension(it's an .mcf file)  for an attachment. From the valid extensions(txt, log,0lue,pdf) which should I use?

When you open up the list in History that shows the detections find the Copy to Clipboard button, the paste in Notepad.

It said something about losing uniform code when saving to notepad but here's the Quarantined list.

ANY other user other than the thread starter is not to use any instructions, scripts or proceedures,  The work though in cleaning a system is individual and only for that system due to a number of factors.

Unfortunately, with the amount of threads means the waiting time is longer, Norton continually Blocking files won't hurt your system but is is just annoying, Please wait and be patient.   I am  trying to keep up, spending hours here to script and clean machines on a first come/first served basis. If you or someone adds to your thread It will be pushed back in line due to the new update.  I use the boards in reverse to what is seen

I just wanted to know if doing it will delete my personal stuff. From you responding this way, should that mean it will? All I wanted was a yes or no. If it was a no, I will go ahead and do it but if it was a yes I was going to ask if I can back up my stuff or do something to keep my stuf. You didn't seem to want to answer me at all about it. I really appreciate the help but I'm just asking if I will lose everything after doing what you suggested.

You don't want run the steps I ask,   Like so many others do (dependant on infection type) and for so many other Malware removalists.

Fine as I don't have to worry about your thread or system,  1 less.

Sorry I asked whether or not doing this will delete my personal stuff. I will do the steps tomorrow and post my results you asked for. Thanks.

Don't bother with the advanced tools here as, I have said

1 less for me.

Good Luck

I have tons of data and systems to look at.

Stop PMing me,   You have my final word.

There is a reason I given instruction, which you can't or read or read fully.

Good Luck in the removal and checking for all the listed infections.

Sorry it took so long. Norton quarantined a couple new things today as well.
