Once again -Install issues with Multi-device Norton360

Can anybody help with the Crappy Norton 360 installation on a iPad running iPadOS 17.5.1. My Norton account shows 6 device installs available, but when I go through the Norton steps to update my license: Download the update, login to my account, I get “No License Available” error. I am getting really tired of the hassles trying to use the product while getting constant sales and upgrade notices.

I figured it out. The instsll process takes you the App Store to Update the Norton 360 App, which I did, then sign into your account to verify the license. It then gives the Error (with no explantion or help). I deleted the app and reinstalled, which worked. Norton should really update their SW with the correct procedure or update the Error with some assistance. This is simple to catch in QC or user feedback, but my experience is their Customer Support gets worse every year.

Glad you were able to figure it out.

To clarify. Was this the first time installing Norton on this iPad? I ask because you mention getting sent to the App Store to Update. An update generally does not need to have the user sign in to their Norton Account again. It should pick up the login from the previous version.

Not a first time install, it was a update to an existing license.
I followed the prompts, only to have it bomb out with the “No License Available” error.
I have been in tech/software for 40 years (I’m old, so maybe I’m losing it), but when you follow the instructions and it doesn’t work, it needs QC review. I guess it’s possible I’m the only guy with an iPad with problems, but I doubt it.

We are having the same problem. We have licenses available on our account but when my husband tries to download a copy of Norton 360 on his iphone it says no licenses available.

Can you detail out the steps that you used for this to be successful?

I send him a download link via text. He downloads 360, selects Redeem License and puts in his logon info (which is different from my logon info because we want separate Norton password databases) and it says no licenses available. So then he deleted 360 and reinstalled and gets the same error.

The issue you are seeing is that you are sending a download invitation email from your Norton Account where the subscription is registered. When he installs and then tries to sign into his Norton Account, there is no subscription found because he did not purchase the subscription. He needs to sign into your Norton Account, (or you can do it for him), to activate the subscription.

Doing this does not affect his ability to keep his own password vault using his Norton Account. And it does not give him access to your Account as he would have to enter your Account password to get there.

@PuzzledbyNorton Is your husband getting the N360 from the Apple Store at this link? And does he have at least iOS 15 installed?

thank you!

Glad I could help.
