Norton Utilities 16.0.3.53 has been released.

This build includes the fix for:

  • An issue where customers encountered a message stating, "Core product(s) have been modified. Please run Smart update or reinstall the product", when starting Norton Utilities 16.0 - Thread

Note: If you're an existing customer, please run “Smart Update” to get this patch.
New customers are requested to download NU 16.0.3.48 and run “Smart update” to get the latest patch.

We have released Norton Utilities 16.0.3.48 inline update via smart update. To download the update, simply run Smart Update. This update is available for all supported languages.

Note: This patch update has been pushed to automatically, no manual update required. Please reboot the system to get the latest build.

So no actual updates to NU itself. 

IIRC  we were told almost 2 years ago that there was not even a NU team any more. Why is this product still being sold????

I did see a restart prompt when I applied the update.

Call me puzzled too! What does NU do these days and on what OS's?
