Prompt to save new password

Whenever I login into a website with my saved password, I get a prompt asking if I want to update my saved login and it gives me a new suggested password. I want to stop getting this prompt but can’t find a way to turn it off. Please help

what OS
what browser
Is the prompt from Norton or from the browser native password manager?

If the problem persists, ensure your Norton software and browser extensions are updated to the latest versions. You may also want to check if your browser’s built-in password manager is also active and causing a conflicting prompt, and disable it if necessary.

It is from Norton.

I found out how to turn-off the prompt which asks me if I want to use a more secure password. Unfortunately it probably means I won’t get any prompt when I do want to save the password I just created for a site.

Care to share screenshot? I vaguely recall…but, can’t reproduce. Is the Norton prompt related to Norton Password Manager → Safety Dashboard?

Caveat: Norton Password Manager is not my daily rider.

Hi @John_Golden. I originally posted a similar problem in the first thread that @bjm mentioned above.

Is every character in the suggested password followed by a space?

If you copy and paste the suggested password into a blank file in Notepad, does each character appear on its own line?

This is what I still experience. I am on Windows 11.
