I get this reported on shutdown either with full shut down or Restart… Normal restart/reboot will sort it out hopefully.

Norton says On Public Network, Restricted Data. I'm on a Private Network. Change toggle not working.

Norton says “I’m on a Public Network and has Restricted Incoming Data” Button to CHANGE (to private) does Nothing. I’m on a Private Network Actually. Please Adise. Thanks! Security history log may be hit and miss

Based on security history, it looks like Remote Access Protection and Intrusion Signatures are disabled when Windows shuts down and enabled when Windows starts up. (I shut down and restarted Windows again to verify that those were the trigger events.) Maybe this is the way N360 is programmed to behave but what’s curious is that security history doesn’t always capture every event, as you can see from the uploaded screenshot. Hi Mgirons, I’m on VPN too. One time, I think, intrusion detection signature stopped to allow phone link. I will have to watch out for shutdown/ restart instances but not yet noticed any.
Actually I put a password on my settings. Remote access protection was never opened again.Thought I’d solved this but then phone issue above happened. Changed password again.

No intrusion detection attempts occur in security logs .Allowing remote access defeats detection?
No error messages. Concerned about being hacked.

I just turned computer off and later again and remote access protection was turned of in both instances Thanks I think you are right.
