Norton Utilities Ultimate - I call it an add on because it wasn’t the main product I purchased and because it was advertised to me as a 60 day free trial via their pop up boxes. Of course to me, all of this is irrelevant to this thread since it is a topic on getting live, adequate, and competent support to resolve a legitimate customer concern.
So for the purpose of this thread, the type of product isn’t the issue, it is the horrible customer support that Norton provides.
Respectfully:
I’m thinking your Norton Utilities Ultimate Trial is not an add-on.
I’m thinking your Norton Utilities Ultimate Trial is a standalone subscription.
Just thinking…
Thank you But now I am reading that norton doesn’t answer people are cancelling Norton left and right. I was also told it is real time monitoring not being notified weeks after, some messages have stated just the opposite.
The easiest thing to do is just cancel your credit card. Call your bank and say you lost your credit card - they will send you a new card with new number. Then Norton has no way to charge your card and you don’t have to go through Norton’s insulting process of cancelling a subscription.
Yeah, when I finally got on the phone with Norton to cancel my account that didn’t stop the lady from trying to sell me more stuff - and she wouldn’t stop either. Man! I called to cancel my freaking account because of how horrible Norton is - I’m not looking to buy more Norton ScareWare products from Norton. Their marketing tactics are rooted in scaring the customer. Norton’s complex software packages are intrusive and bloated.
They’ve got all these names for all these Norton software packages. I have no idea what ANY of it is. Norton is a like a virus - and endless sea of Norton popup windows - infesting your browsers - infesting your computer.
As long as you’re not crawling the darkweb or something like that Window’s built in security is totally fine.
After cancelling my credit cards I’ve never had my new credit card information automatially updated or forwarded to vendors that got cut off from payment - ever.
Why just this morning I had to update my Pandora account - because I cancelled my credit card a few weeks ago.
This just sound more like Norton manipulation tactics.
Okay…may depend on user geo-location…some countries have stricter consumer protections. Community hear complaints from users that were charged even though their card was expired. Community hears complaints from users that were charged even though they cancelled automatic renewal. Community hears complaints from users that were charged without notice. Community hears complaints from users that were charged without having Norton. Community hears lots of complaints.
Community urges users that do not want automatic renewal to cancel recurring subscription service and also remove billing information.
Community urges users that request refund to confirm recurring subscription service is cancelled and billing information is removed…after receiving refund.
you can disable it manuel they always auto enable it avg norton and other but you can always disable it if you whant and also get you money back it is just difrent time you have to do it norton give you 60 the most of all companey and remember the hard why it is to work in norton 360 is getting much easyer hen the 24/25 big update is comming that update is making it more like the other company in look a like
I was charged today for two items one was 86.00 and the other was the tracker application. I do not want this application and I would like a refund
What is the 86.00 charge for
There seems to be no way to talk to a human, either AI or a bot. I am so sick of this. Got this from Norton saying I urgently need to do updates on Skype, it is vulnerable, for gods sake I do not even have Skype on my computer installed. I am with Norton now for over 20 years but I think it is time to change. Always some crap they want to sell you after doing a scan, scrap that I do not need or interested in. I tried something some time ago, hope it would be good, but what a disaster. I cancelled online and that was it.
Just log onto your account and cancel there, I do it all the time. Especially if their renewal cost more than what I can buy it for in the local shops. All I do is to never have it automatically renewed and check prices before the time, buy a new one from the shop, and register that one again. Sometimes a really rip-off. Lately so many crap they say you need to buy in order to keep your computer running, I am sick of it.
