Dear Norton Support Team,

I am writing to formally bring to your attention recurring and frustrating issues with your Norton 360 Ultra product, which have significantly disrupted my regular computer usage. These issues include:

1. Unwanted Shortcuts: The software persistently creates shortcuts on my desktop. Despite multiple attempts to delete them, they reappear repeatedly.

2. Frequent Pop-ups: I am constantly receiving a pop-up message stating, “We encountered an error, please restart your application to try again.” Even after following the suggested steps to restart the application, the issue persists and interrupts my workflow.

These ongoing problems have caused me considerable inconvenience and dissatisfaction. I expect a premium product like Norton 360 Ultra to function smoothly and without such errors. Unfortunately, the current state of the software feels like a defective product that fails to meet the standards I anticipated when I purchased it.

If Norton does not provide a satisfactory resolution or implement measures to improve its software, I may decide against renewing my subscription in the future. Furthermore, I may consider taking legal action for the sale of what I perceive to be a faulty product.

I urge you to investigate these issues promptly and provide a clear timeline and plan for resolving them. I look forward to your immediate response to restore my confidence in your product.

I am having the same issue and it started in the last few days. I have tried restarting Norton and restarting the computer, but the message keeps appearing. I am on a reasonable spec, including 16 MB RAM, Windows 11 desktop PC.

I also have been receiving the “We have encountered an error” pop-up. I get the error every time I try and open Norton 360 from the system tray. Once the application restarts, it appears to run correctly. If I close the application window and then open it again the error reoccurs.

Also in the Norton 360 Application/Settings window, both the General and Troubleshooting tabs are blank, no information whatsoever. I would assume that is not supposed to be that way.

Blank tabs? I will ask them to try opening Troubleshooting when it happens. I am not living with them
