What would you want Norton support to do?
v24.x has/had an issue with Thunderbird. Norton Community heard about the issue [here].

FYI. This response you got was from a forum guru. Not a Norton employee. We gurus are just users like you who volunteer our time to try to help others from our experience with the Norton products. We try to do the best we can with what we have to work with.

OK, Lets go down the Rabbit Hole.
Several days ago I received a message from Norton that told me that a "New version" of Norton would be coming to my computer and that I wouldn't have to do anything as it was all going to happen automatically. Not even a day had passed and my email app (Thunderbird) stopped working both to send and receive. Internet was still working. After going through my internet service provider, Mozilla help, and scouring the net, with no luck. I thought that the culprit was, and normally is, the last change that was made to a stable system, in this case Norton. Here is where my problems started. A wonderful "New version" of Norton awaited me, "not happy Jan", as instead of just checking a few settings I had to play where the hell is that setting now, So I thought well let's just put it back to classic view and lo and behold that's gone! Great!.
So now I have to trawl through the "New improved version" to find stuff.
I then think well if Norton is the problem let's just turn the bloody thing off and see if that's it. Alas still no luck. So after searching the net again I see that I'm not the only person having this problem and so in desperation I uninstalled the new version of Norton and tried to get email and Lo and Behold it worked I had emails again. I then reinstalled the old version of Norton and everything worked.
So in conclusion after 3 days of runaround, if you put a classic view in Norton's don't remove it as people will use it as it saves time when you know how to find stuff. Don't just foist "New and Improved stuff on to your customers before you have asked if they would like and or want that so called new improvement. The car is well over 100 years old and yet the steering wheel and pedals are still in the same place. People get used to how things work. If it ain't broke don't fix it, or in your case if it ain't broke let's add more features 'till it is broke.
And I know you will ask.

I tried Norton FAQ. I'll let you decide what the FAQ stands for in my head. and also the phone help, which wasn't. Oh thanks by the way it was so great to find out that the phone number in Australia has been disconnected, and it was sooo easy to find one that worked. Lot's of sacasim here if you didn't get that
It seems to be most modern day companies are changing from when they used to remember that the customer was No 1 to us just being an inconvenience that are standing in the way of making more money. The so called "help" is just a your version of the Merry go Round from hell and is designed to get people to give up!
I have been a loyal customer of Norton for many years but enough is enough. I will not renew my subscription with Norton when it ends, and I would ask for a refund of what's left but I don't think there is enough of my sanity left to attempt the Hampseter wheel of madness that would entail to get one. But hey, if you offer me one I'll take it.
OK I'll leave you to respond now with all the " Have you tried this and We're sooooo sorry that you feel that way" that you can muster.
there is no support email or contact just the phone or chat option as far as i know
