Are you using Chrome? Is Chrome giving you this message or is it from Norton? Chrome FULLY supports the HTTP2 protocol since version 49, its enabled by default too, something has to be blocking between you and the websites you are visiting. Running a VPN maybe and/or ad blockers? Have you disabled HTTPS traffic sniffing in Norton? Please advise.
I’m using Brave browser (any other browsers work fine). If I add the web pages that gives me this error to the Norton “Exclusions” list I can open the pages.
Its a known issue in the latest Norton versions. Being disabled can open avenues for MIM attacks because any certificate on a website will be allowed. Did you give disabling http2 in Brave instead?
Thank you for the clarification. I have tried disabling HTTP2 in Brave as well which works but can’t be sure which one is safer (disabling in Norton or Brave).
I’m having the same issue and after capturing some logs it appears Norton intercepts the SSL traffic and tries to downgrade the ciphers with weaker ciphers not accepted by the browser for HTTP2… Is there an official response from Norton regarding this behavior?
