Issue abstract: “Generate Code” button DOES NOTHING at Norton Support

Detailed description:
On any browser on any device when trying to reach Norton Support the “Generate Code” button DOES NOTHING at Norton Support

On any browser or when prompted to do the same while trying to CHAT with Norton Support

  1. Go to URL https://norton.com/verify

  2. Sign in to your Account image. I can successfully sign,

  3. After step 2 you will see URL https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/verification-code?isplt=true with the following screen shot

  4. Click on the “Generate code” button NOTHING IS GENERATED!

Anyone else have this issue?

Makes support near impossible!

I think it is only to the us in eu the code is only on 6 nothing more

  • How do I confirm “you’re allowing Norton ads, cookies, trackers, analytics, scripts, beacons, etc., etc.,”
  • Where do I “whitelist norton.com, login.norton.com, my.norton.com, nortonlifelock.com, support.norton.com, buy.norton.com, renew.norton.com”?
  • I confirm “VPN IS DISCONECTED”
  • I have reviewed " Norton Privacy Center [here ] => Privacy Settings" and confirm all are ON and SAVED per my screen capture taken a few moments ago →

yes possible i think it only works in us that is why it dont work the only way to now is call norton and ask it dont work in eu no more then 6 number and if there is not that many number in Australia that is why

yes the passcode norton is using in eu dont has more then 6 numbers and us maybe got 12 numbers and Australia can have 8 numbers see the diffrends ect but norton can have a nother system to autralia so it works

when I receive a Two Factor code on Sign In to my norton account as a text message it is 6 digits same as EU.

Is this really the issue?

not realy becurse the Two Factor code can be on only 6 letter the Verify can be on more and the picture from bjm shows that Australia got 10 and it works there and how it does but it dont work in Denmark where im from

When users have reported similar - as I recall…the issue has been that their side was blocking some Norton pages content. That’s why I post Please allow Norton pages content. That’s why I suggest Chrome.
Users - Australia have reported issues reaching support.

~ from my location - I’ve not had issues reaching support.
Social Support from my location does not have Bots nor need Code.

What browser? What browser extensions?

and when you call Norton Support - Australia 1800 680 026 - what happens?

  • Vanilla Chrome - no extensions and also incognito
  • Vanilla Edge - no extensions and also inprivate
  • Vanilla Firefox - no extensions and also inprivate
  • Norton Private Browser

I have to wait a VERY VERY long time to get through - I mostly don’t have that much time and clearly CAN NOT verify
