Getting regular popups about email app

Issue abstract: Getting popup “Not seeing new emails in your email app?” several times a day. (I have notifications turned off in settings.)

I tried going through the suggested procedure to resolve and try to add Norton’s certificate to Thunderbird email client only to be told that the certificate is already installed.

I do not have any problem receiving or sending emails.

Product & version number: Norton 25.8.10387

OS details: Win 11 24H2 26100.5074

Same issue. Spent over an hour and a half with support chat, no resolution. It was escalated to senior tech support and I’m waiting for a call from them. Norton uninstall/reinstall did not help. Issue just started today. No problem receiving emails with Thunderbird.

Yes, just started very recently. Must be to do with the latest Norton update version.

Why does this notification not have a go away and never come back button? Seriously. Uggh. For what it’s worth, turning off all notifications does seem to get rid of it, but it’s only good for 24 hours. Then you have to do it again. Plus you won’t get any notifications.

Dave could you please post a screenshot of the notification for review/ Thanks in advance.

Same issue here, since some days…

“Not seeing emails in you email app?”

So annoying! Every few minutes…

Always have to set Norotn in Silent Mode… every 24 hours

Note: the popup is not visible to screen capture or via remote access. But here is a pic of it taken by my phone.

What happens with clicking “Resolve” ? Fortunately I haven’t seen that popup appear my side, yet!! Norton in past versions had a setting where Norton could be set to integrate with Outlook spam detection, that setting disappeared with the latest version. Try resolve and let us know what the results are and, if this continues to reappear. TIA.

When you hit “resolve” it basically tries to install certificates to Thunderbird, but Thunderbird will indicate those certificates are already there. It has no benefit. Does nothing. I have escalated this concern to senior tech support which collected logs and other data from my computer. They say they are currently looking into this. Waiting to hear from them.

Is there a solution already?

Exactly same for me as well. Normally a popup has a way to respond so it quits. This one supposedly gives a way, but as noted by others the actions requested are already done, and then no way to dismiss it. I don’t want to disable all popups, as future ones may be significant.

This looks like one of the many Norton marketing popups. What do you see if you click on the three dots at the top right of the popup? If you hover your cursor over the ‘X’, does it offer a “do not show again”?

Three dots just gives choice of “Notification settings” or “Give us feedback”.

Notification settings just takes you to the Norton notifications page (where I have the second two disabled).

Hover over the ‘X’ only offers to close.

There is not option to not show again. And the three dots just give you a “give us feedback” or a link to Norton’s Notification settings which does not help. This is NOT just another annoying popup. Something is definitely wrong. Still waiting for Norton Tech support to address this.

NO solution yet.

Same here, no solution yet, very very annoying

Today I received the following message from Norton employee:

“We have sent this issue to the concerned team. We will get back once we have some info.”

Same here. Previous replies describe the problem perfectly. If this issue is not resolved soon, I will cancel my Norton subscription. After all, if Norton cannot control its own pop-ups, how can I trust it to protect my computer against invaders?

That’s true - Perfectly said!

After more than 3 weeks (!) still no solution for a simple pop-up notification problem in their own software – what a shame.

This is exactly how even the largest companies lose the trust of their customers.

One month and no resolution. This is getting really annoying.

I tried messaging the Norton employee that I corresponded with previously, but got no reply.
