There is a page that says to download the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool, but the link is broken. Has someone experienced the same situation? Thanks for your advice.

Caveat:
Norton support advised me NRnR is for v22 & Norton 360 Remover is for v24+
I’ve no documentation to confirm this.
2 points of contention, Please:
- is there a page delineating how to:
→ scour File Explorer for remnants:
- even their Support Genie fails to inform the User that NRnR may not be the appropriate Remover if you ask for advice Reinstalling~
-
No, “page how to scour”…fwiw ~ my personal preference is to scour/search File Explorer for remnants & run CCleaner - Registry tool. Just me.

AI Overview
To cleanly remove a Windows program, start by using the built-in Windows uninstaller or the Control Panel. For a more thorough removal, including leftover files and registry entries, consider using a third-party uninstaller tool like IObit Uninstaller or Revo Uninstaller. You can also manually delete residual files and folders and clean the registry after uninstalling.
1. Standard Uninstall:
- Using the built-in uninstaller: Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features, select the program, and click Uninstall.
- Using Control Panel: Open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, right-click the program, and select Uninstall.
2. Thorough Removal:
- Third-party uninstallers: IObit Uninstaller and Revo Uninstaller offer advanced features to scan for and remove leftover files and registry entries.
- Manual cleanup: After uninstalling, manually delete any remaining folders in locations like Program Files or AppData.
3. Registry Cleanup (Advanced):
- You can manually delete registry entries associated with the program, but proceed with caution as incorrect modifications can damage your system.
4. Disk Cleanup:
- Use the Disk Cleanup utility to remove temporary files, cache, and other temporary data.
Tips for Clean Removal:
- Uninstall from the Control Panel or Settings: This removes the program’s main files and folders.
- Use a third-party uninstaller: These tools can detect and remove leftover files and registry entries, ensuring a cleaner uninstallation.
- Manually delete leftover files: If you’re comfortable, you can manually delete folders and files associated with the program after uninstalling.
- Clean the registry: Consider cleaning the registry to remove leftover entries.
- Use Disk Cleanup: This utility can help remove temporary files and other junk that may be left behind.

Thanks alot for the suggestion. On one PC I used the nortonremover and on the other one, I deinstalled Norton using the “Add or remove programs” menu in the system settings. Both worked for me. Regards
Good catch!. I went back and checked the link, knowing that there was no VPN active and it allowed me to download the .exe file. Thanks again for the suggestion. Much appreciated.
You are welcome. Glad I could help.
Yeah, ran into that too. Just go to Norton’s official site and search for “Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool” manually should be under their support section. Download it from there and follow the steps. Worked fine for me on Win 10.
