Live updates aren't working right

Since the new “improved” Norton experience I cannot issue requests for Live Updates. The Live Update button in the system tray is grayed out. The app reports “unable to connect to Live Update.”

However, the status, if it is to be believed, indicates that Norton is performing Live Updates in the background as the Last Update time keeps changing to a recent time.

What’s up with this?

Overall, the new interface is a disaster.

A titre d’information uniquement, sachez que j’ai rencontré le même problème lors du passage de la version 24.10 à la version 24.11.9615 (version 24.11.9615.883).
J’ai résolu le problème en désactivant le VPN intégré et en redémarrant mon PC. Je précise que je n’utilise pas de VPN tiers.

@mgirons: No, I am not able to run from the security screen.

@bjm: No NextDNS. Yes, third party VPN (and not willing to turn it off). Worked fine before the “improvements”.

it’s anything encrypted the new version can’t handle. encrypted DNS, VPN

Sounds like the final death knell for Norton with me if it won’t work with a VPN.

Exactly, They don’t care, They are at the bottom of the pile and have nothing else but to try and force us to spend money or let them steal our data to sell. They just flatly act like they have zero consideration for consumers.

I refuse to disable my encrypted DNS for Norton, They will NOT get my data!
