LiveUpdate, Software Updater etc. requires USA VPN connection

Issue abstract:
Non-USA installed Norton 360 fails internet connection on LiveUpdate etc.

Detailed description:
My PC is installed in Denmark and since the new Norton 260 program was installed, LiveUpdate, Software Updater, Smart Scan Advanced Issues etc. will not execute due to supposedly missing internet connection, even though all other internet operations on the PC works OK.
I normally operate without Norton VPN.
When I enable the Norton VPN and select USA, it works OK.
A danish VPN fails…

What is the error message you are seeing?
‘Unable to connect to LiveUpdate’
‘You’re offline’
‘Connect to the internet to see advanced issues’

You mention 'Non-USA installed". But where did you purchase your 360? If you purchased from a US retailer, that could be why you can only update and connect to Norton by using a US VPN location.

I honestly don’t know where or how I bought the original Norton 360 or if it followed one of my PCs over the years.
The license have been updated and expanded from Noron’s Website.
Anyway, the problem occurred after the Norton GUI was updated to the new look a short while ago.
Before that, I had no problems with internet connections in Norton 360…

Do you run NextDNS?
Do you run third party VPN?

I normally operate without any VPN.
The only times I use VPN now is when doing LiveUpdate etc. via Norton VPN (USA).
danish VPN fails means Norton 360 VPN → Danish region.

So, you’re not running NextDNS or any third party DNS resolver…just your ISP.
Norton 360 VPN → Danish region fails to connect or fails to allow Norton LiveUpdate?
Trying to imagine why you’d need VPN → US region?
Norton 360 v22 worked okay.
Norton 360 v24 is causal?

Norton 360 VPN → Danish region connects OK, just failed to allow Norton LiveUpdate

I tried to repeat my findings from yesterday and now i can’t connect to LiveUpdate even when using Norton 360 VPN → US region - I’m very confused now!!!

I will try out some of the advice in your ‘fwiw’ references now.
