I was shown how to get to the Web page for Norton Backup using Chrome or any Browser to edit the some files last year. Was this feature turned off, the new group of support staff do not know about this. Is this gone now, you can only edit the backups on in the local tool?
Issue abstract:
Detailed description: Access to the web browser inface
You will notice up when you open this window you can only delete the backup, if you drill deaper the delete button gets removed from the interface. This was not the case before you could open the backups independently from your client (home pc) and edit the files that are backed up.
as I recall…Cloud Backup via your Norton account has not changed.
Maybe, you’re thinking of “Norton Backup Drive” with N360 v22 that is no longer with Norton360 v25.
We got off track here, I am asking if the old interface exists were you can edit your backups using more detailed tool, excluding the Client installation currently on your local PC. It was possible in the past.
I don’t recall any browser based access to the Backups that allowed any editing of the backup set. You could download individual files from your Norton Account in the Cloud backup section. And there may have been a delete option. But there was no way to remove it from the backup set. If the file was still on the computer, it would have been backed up again when the next backup ran.
Sorry I can’t help more. I use a disc imaging solution for my backups.
