Today I keep getting New network detected notifications on my Android tablet yet I’m using the same network. Highly frustrating. How can I stop this?
Thank you.
I am getting this notification as well on Android app. The link does not address this glitch. I even trusted my home network in the app VPN settings but this notification still pops up every few minutes. I ended up disabling WiFi security notifications for now. Can we report this glitch or get a real fix?

I have also started to get this every few minutes on my home network using Android. Verifying the network removes the reminder for a couple of minutes and then it returns. Even though my tablet and phone remain connected to the same network. This has been happening since 5 September. Uninstalling and reinstalling the Norton 360 app has not helped, and the link above is not relevant to the app.
I would think this should be fixed by now… Norton, what are you waiting for?
Everyone: There is usually a “boilerplate” template where certain information is asked for when creating a NEW thread on the forums. Omitting that can cause lengthy secondary questions, most especially where there are multiple users having the same issue posting on the same thread. If you all would be so kind, please tell us the following so we have the most accurate information for each of you to assist with:
- What Android version are you using?
- What is version of the Android app installed on your device?

One thing to try is to go into Android Settings > Apps and delete the app data for the 360 app. Restart the device and sign back into your Norton Account and test.
Same thing started happening on my Android (version 13) device today. “New Network Detected” notification happens. If I dismiss it then it comes back after 5 minutes. If I click on it then Norton 360 opens and does a WiFi security scan, then the notification returns after 5 minutes. I’ve “forgotten” the network; this doesn’t help. I’ve read all the online information I could find; much of it is irrelevant, and what little that is pertinent has not been useful. I’ve scoured the support pages to work out how to communicate with a human but if this option exists it is well hidden.
@AussieSteve Is your app version 5.112.8.250701471?That’s the latest version I can get for my Galaxy Z-Flip 5 on Android 15 UI 7.0 . Not seeing that issue my side. What device are you using? What is the network being detected over and over again? A network near you that you are aware of? An open networks aka satellite connection? We are asking questions to assist everyone and not getting replies to help. TIA.

Norton 360 version 5.121.0.250828738
Home network sometimes with VPN and sometimes without VPN
Latest version just released for many users has a definite bug. Continually shows “1 issue detected” and asks to resolve the issue by pressing the “review” button. This does a scan of the network and comes back all OK but alert returns moments later with same issue.
App version 5.121.0.250828738.
Running on a Galaxy A51, android version 13.
The network is my home wifi, which is not open, and to which my phone automatically connects.
I’m on Android 15, Norton version 5.121.0.250828738. Samsung Galaxy S23.
I’ve hidden the wifi security alerts for now,but it still shows an unresolved issue when opening the app.
Everyone: My suggestion to get the proper attention from Norton is sending your device Norton logs for review. Please follow this article to get that done for your devices:
*In the Android section please take note of step #5
5. Reproduce the problem with Norton 360 app that you want to report to us.

Same Android and Norton releases for me on my Samsung S24. Have been having the constant stupid New Network warnings (resolved with scan, but reappears a few minutes later)
I’m using Galaxy A52s 5G, and the notification pops up for me both on home network and work network; as I shouldn’t be disconnected from work network at all, this is not even the issue of dis-and-reconnect to trigger the notification.
SoulAsylum: It’s not an “error” that we are raising an issue of, so I don’t know if error log will record it.
I spoke to Support yesterday via the chat functionality and they said that this is a known problem with the current app version and the developers are working on a fix, but no ETA at present.
It is indeed an error for the app to NOT remember the networks you are using on a constant basis. Hoping the Norton teams correct it, its present in the Windows version of the software as well.

This “Connected to a new network” issue has been appearing on both my wife’s S25 and my S25, both on Android 15. I took your advice of Sept 7 and went into Android Settings > Apps and deleted the app data for the 360 app. Problem resolved now on both phones! Thank you Peterweb
