I had the same issue a few days ago on one PC. I do not know what version it was using at the time of the issue, but now it is on version 25.9.10453 (build 25.9.10453.952) and seems to be running fine now. I had done the uninstall also, but not for the “white screen” problem. I uninstalled because of an issue with it blocking my Chrome default profile from saving cookies (see this posting Norton 360 preventing Chrome from saving cookies for the default profile). My other PC is running version 25.9.10453 (build 25.9.10453.0) and it also seems to be fine.
