Norton 360

Symantec, i hope you will be support Norton 360 v3 & v4 for the future,

and i hope you will be update N-360 v3 to v3.9 and update N-360 v4 to v4.5.

Please support and update those versions (at least for the last time). Please please please.

And it would be good if you create the new build distributive (installation package) with the newer versions

(including with all languages), sorry for my english :smileyhappy:

i mean if immediately after installation the version of N-360 v3 & v4 would be 3.9 & 4.5 :) respectively.

Please please please. I very hope for you guys from Symantec :)

I agree with Artem

And please also update N-360 v6.4.0.9 to version 6.5 and create new build (distributiv) thanks

Redlineblack, I want it too

Symantec please do not ignore first post :)

I HAVE BEEN USING NORTON FOR SOME YEARS NOW AND IT HAS BEEN PROVING USEFUL TO ME, BUT I HAVE NOT TRIED NORTON 360. BUT WITH WHAT I KNOW ABOUT THEM, I THINK ITS THE BEST NORTON PRODUCT SO FAR AND AM STRIVING TO HAVE IT, TO HAVE FULL PROTECTION ON MY COMPUTER..........LOL

Hi Dave,

despite the fact that they are old, anyway they are very good and i think they are better then v5 and maybe v6 and v20 2013

I know that Symantec may not continue support them but i hope they are will be support. They are definitly faster and lighter then newer versions. :). I asking for support those versions becuase protection capabilities for me is not so important as for others, i even without any antivirus protection feel comfortable but want have Norton 360 installed for the just in case. Those versions are very light, lighter then another Norton products and i like them for this because my PC not so modern and powerful. :)).

My PC work with v3 & v4 better then with newer versions (unfortunatly)

Have you tried the newer versions to determine this speed difference, or are you gion by what others have reported?

What operating system are you using?

How much memory is in your system?

peterweb, yes i tried the newer versions

And my other questions? OS and memory?

XP, 1-GB, one core

I cannot speak for Symantec, but it would not be surprising for a company to drop support for a product that is 4 versions behind the current product. A company has only so many resources, and they need to support the current product and get ready for the next.

You're right, but at least will b good if they update the 6 version of N360 то v6.5 :)), v6 is my favourite

You will not find many software companies that will do a major revision for an older version of their product.

What is it you are looking for in this requested upgrade? If you are looking for new features, just upgrade to 2013.

The product still receives malware updates.

i'm not looking new features, if came out the new version it dosn't mean she's better, for now N360 v6 better then N360 2013 v20 - but 2013 will be better but not earlier than in April (when they fix all bugs-errors)

I can say that I have just upgraded to v20 on two PC's and find it works great.  A few issues I had when this version was released seem to of been sorted, so I will recommend to those waiting for a fix to give v20 a go now.  :smileyhappy:

Cheers,

Dave

Yes v20 are good but for now i think N360 v6 better, more stable :))

no v5 is the best.

Tightpants, maybe you're right :)

Hi DaddyKev1872,

Glad to hear you got it all sorted out.

There is no Accept as Solution Button in the post that starts a thread.  What you need to do in ordr to mark it solved is make another post stating something simialr to what you did "This has since been solved managed to work it all out at the end."  and then select that post as the solution.

Hi veranopage,

I am sorry to hear of your issue.  Some additional information may be useful in diagnosing your problem.

Has the virus/malware been fully removed from your system? If so, how have you confirmed this?

Which security program was first installed on your machine, Norton 360 or the other program(s)?

What was the other security software installed and how was it removed?

What operating system are we dealing with?

Thanks!
