Detailed description: Nortron 360 using more GPU (model_host.exe). This model_host.exe orignated from Norton suite folder. It looks like Nortron local models running using onnx enviroment. How to disable it?

Hello. The model_host.exe issue is one some folks are seeing while others are not. Your screenshot also shows something new. Module_lifetime.dll that I haven’t seen other reporting. This is the best information I have on that specific process: @Selvakumar.S

NOTE: Did you have Avast installed on this computer at one time or is it presently installed? If so and it has been uninstalled, did you manually remove all the left over files/folders related to Avast?

Norton consuming 100% of my GPU

Sorry to create a new topic on this. This system will not allow me to add any additional replies to the “Nortonui.exe is usimgy my GPU” topic as I am still a new user. What a pain. This issue for me has made my computer unusable. As soon as I open a youtube video and play it Norton will consume 100% of my GPU and stay there. I have disabled Auto-protect and Smart Firewall and Norton will still consume 100% of my GPU. I was able to get a tier 2 tech support person to see my issue, they uninstall…

Well well!! The file module_lifetime.dl has finally made its way onto my Windows 10 Pro machine with the latest pushed update to version 26.6.11050 (build 26.6.11050.985) yesterday. Temporarily disabling tamper protection doesn’t allow for removal of the file due to it being “locked” by Norton 360. The model_host process is nowhere to be seen though making this interesting at the least. I still say this is a executalbe dll file that looks for AI enabled OS’s and GPU hardware. Its not showing Norton using my GPU in any manner.
