Please STOP the embedded adware for Norton add-ons

I'm paying several hundred $AUD / year for Norton Deluxe (plus a few addons) and am still getting spammed by pushy almost obstructive adverts for even more Norton product addons.

These adverts are immutable with NO option to stop them.

And YES I've tried the following with no effect to reduce impact of adware.

  • settings > administrative settings (toggle OFF) for Special Offer Notifications. (no effect on reducing the adverts)
  • settings > software updater (toggle OFF) with still no effect.
  • reinstall Norton apps.
  • upgrading the Norton UI dashboard to new Norton UI.  (issue is worse on new UI)
  • purchasing the product in hope adverts will stop. (another advert takes its place).

The adverts dominate the user interface UI environment and interfere with in-process scans, and in order to get back to normal operation sequence of a scan, they often involve a muti-step close process.

The attached images are an example of intrusive adware that appears within the Norton 360 app UI for Windows 11 (same applies for win10), and obstruct flow of scan process. This started around 4 months ago with subtle offers now they present as obstructive / borderline aggressive advertisement tactics.

Suffice to say, I will be closing my subscription once its tenure expires.

That being said there are two files that can be renamed which will prevent some of the "tune-up scans". [...]
