I keep getting a pop-up saying I'm at risk and to fix now. Every time I press fix now it tries to fix it and says live update is complete but after the update it still says I am at risk and gives me to option to fix now. I have un-installed and re-installed twice and both times it fixes it temporarily but soon after tells me I am at risk again. There should be a screenshot of the issue attached.
Those are the instructions that I followed. I have now done this three or four times. The next to last time, after I reinstalled Norton and restarted, I encountered error after error when I tried to run Live Update.
So I removed all the files, once again, and reinstalled Norton. I have not yet tried to run Live Update. I will do that soon and see what happens.
Gents, Recommend the removal and reinstall be performed using the guide in the linked article.

What was said from Norton is that Apple is having a hard time keeping up with their updates and has caused some issues. Hence the reason why they keep having new Mac OS come out. Norton has recommended to do a scan and do a live update once a day to keep up. For those who may still have issues make sure you uninstall and not drag things to the trash. I talked with some people and they were doing that instead of a full uninstall.
I believe that I did reboot, but I will try again.
By the way, I am using Norton Internet Security for the Mac v7.4.1.
Nice to see that it was sorted. I have a theory. Maybe the issues might not just come from Norton itself. If there is malware that is constantly infecting your files and disrupting your system, it can cause problems with constant pop ups or might not allow it fully update itself.
Also if you update to latest 22.10, it seems like it is throttling a lot, should stick 22.9 for a short while.
In any case, I recommend doing a scan with Malwarebytes and/or Hitman Pro to remove any malicious files that might be interfering with the system. Hopefully, it doesn't happen again for you though.
Just went through the steps from that link, problem is gone... for now. Will post if issue returns.
kingfisher500 Did you reboot after the install then rerun liveupdate?
That did not last long. I am now, once again, getting Security At Risk notices. Clicking on Fix initiates a LiveUpdate and, when that shows Fix Complete, Security is still shown as At Risk. See attached screen shot.
Norton Internet Security v 7.4.1, build 185.
Following your reply, I uninstalled Norton Internet Security and then reinstalled it. I am no longer getting erroneous "At Risk" alerts.
My thanks to everyone who responded.
Kingfisher500 Give support chat and see if they can get you straightened out

See if this Norton KB article helps. https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v121250040_EndUserProfile_en_us
You may have to use the What if this didn't work section.
I worked with people from Norton. We uninstalled the current version of Norton and they were able to reinstall Norton's and everything works fine.
The issue is not fixed for me. OS X 10.12.5 and Norton Internet Security 7.4.1
Message "Your vulnerability protection definitions are not up-to-date. Your Mac may be at risk."
This message is shown again after Live Update.
Folks. Norton is aware of the issues you are all facing and working towards a remedy as M3gatron posted previously. One thing to note is whether any of you are participating in the EAP program, IE (early adoption program) which can be a part of your issues.

These issues being reported in April should have been sorted by now. I will ask up the ladder for a response and report that info here for you.
Cheers
I am having the same experience.
OS X 10.12.5, Norton Internet Security 7.4.1
I'm having the same issue. Security is at risk as well as scans at risk. Scan error pops up I try to do quick or full scan. I'm using Mac OS Sierra 10.12.5 and using Norton Security 7.4.1.
Norton has finally acknowledged the issue

Late response sorry, but my issue is still there after uninstalling and reinstalling.
I did a repair on mine, then a restart all seems good this morning.
