So, Norton VPN plans for Windows (like Norton 360 for Windows) register with Windows…turning off Windows Security.
I’d prefer a Norton 360 for Windows plan that includes all Norton VPN plan features or a stand-alone VPN plan that runs along side Windows Security.
I’d also prefer a Norton 360 that includes all the advantages of Norton VPN or at least with a VPN protocol switch, because being able to choose the protocol is key for me, since WireGuard and OpenVPN are prone to blocking in my region.

Well, or that they add more fine-grained protection settings to Norton VPN, because I had to completely disable the Safe Web section due to a conflict with HTTPS filtering software. Instead of disabling only one HTTPS scanning option like in Norton 360. Norton VPN breaks AdGuard functionality due to HTTPS scanning

Just checked my Win 10 laptop with the Norton VPN Ultimate. Looking at the Windows Security section shows that Windows Defender has been replaced by the Norton VPN.

Ahh…so, Norton VPN Ultimate does register with Windows Security Center.
And Microsoft Defender is disabled?
Presumably, Norton VPN Plus registers with Windows Security Center.
Wonder whether Norton VPN Standard registers with Windows Security Center.
As the Standard version does not seem to include the malware protection, it should not disable Defender. We need a VPN Standard subscription user to post about this.
