Why are some file icons still blue after the cloud backup? all should be green. i have a scheduled backup set. It is only a couple of Excel files. All the other Excel files have green checks. Why do some have the blue marker with the arrows? The last time they were opened was june of 2024 so i havent used these. They should be backed up.

Ok, that is nice, but not what i am concerned with.
I am asking why that one is blue and most others are green, especially right after a backup is completed and some of those that have the blue have not been touched. Also, why does it have a March date in the dashboard for the last backup and then in the cloud backup area it will say it was done a couple of hours ago. I am still waiting on a response from Level 3 on this. They said it could take 2 or 3 days and this is now beyond that. i guess i need to call in again. it is probably still an open issue. No one has solved this problem.
Green means it was backed up.
Blue means will be backed up in next cycle.
But, the ones that are blue havent been touched in a while. Something isnt working right. Not sure why they told me this Level 3 issue would be resolved in 2 days. That was not true. I guess they havent figured this out yet.
An older Windowsclub article on the blue boxes. The instructions to remove the boxes for Norton is for the older 360 versions. SoulAsylum’s post above shows how to turn off the overlays in the newer versions of 360.
When icons have blue mark, it has always meant that they are not backed up yet.
When you make an update to a file, the icon will be blue after saving.
What i want to know is why some have that blue mark. i havent made any updates to those but they are not green checked.
Yep. Synch pending means not backed up yet. But these files never seem to get backed up. Something is wrong. Level 3 is supposed to call me soon, but they havent called me back when I am told they will. Fifteen minutes ago, they said they would call back in 30 minutes so i hope they call in fifteen minutes from now.

@gmPro182 I suggest using Macrium Reflect as a solution to the ongoing backup issues with NBU, I have used it for years. Its totally FREE and configurable at the user level. You also can image your entire HD which Norton doesn’t do. Zero issues with local backups to a drive of your choosing as well.
@gmPro182 I’d like to make a small noted correction to my post regarding Macrium Reflect. Their FREE is now a 30 day trial. The older free version goes to version 8.0 and is heading out of support. So get the trial version that is offered.

After installing this build, please rebuild your rescue media to ensure that it includes the latest fixes.
Security Updates
This update includes a security enhancement for the Macrium Image Mounting kernel-mode component (mimkrnl.sys). We advise you to install this release to enhance the security of your system.
Imaging
Addressed a problem that could result in excessive memory usage and/or errors being reported during the Incremental backup process. This issue only arises when using a custom file name and/or path containing non-ANSI (non-English) characters. Note: New backup sets will not be affected by this issue. If you require access to an affected backup set and are experiencing issues, please contact support.
Fixed a problem where the system could fail to boot with a “boot disk not found” error after restoring images to different disks using Drag and Drop or when using the Shrink or Extend to fill target disk options.
Rescue Media
PE 11 Rescue Media has been updated to build 26100, December 2024.
Partition Handling
Resolved an issue where the recovery partition of an MBR disk was incorrectly displayed as a primary partition after a clone or restore.
File & Folder
Fixed an issue where Reflect could crash with an invalid memory access when iterating some directory structures.
Fixed an issue where Incremental File & Folder backups would fail with a “path not found” error when run from the Existing Backups view, if the source folder contained non-ANSI characters.
General
Fixed an issue where Reflect would fail to create a VSS snapshot, after Windows Installer reported an unexpected installation type for Reflect.
Resolved an issue where scheduled tasks using the Macrium Task Scheduler could run multiple times after the system resumed from sleep or was restarted.
Fixed a rare issue where Reflect could unexpectedly terminate when configuring or sending emails using OAuth2 authentication.
Fixed an issue where the Shell Extension could cause Windows Explorer to crash when mounting certain image files.
Various other minor fixes, UI and language translation improvements and other changes to enhance Macrium Reflect.
