Over the years i have probably registered with my old account (allseeingeyes), but i'm changing as much stuff as i can over to this account.
I just received an email from forum community, i am always suspicious, so rather than clicking the link i came to the community page to login using the allseeingeyes account (i have the pass saved) but it wasn't recognised, so i did a pass reset, the email said the email address wasn't associated with any account, i looked for a contact point, but it seems i have to post here.
To any norton employee, i can confirm the allseeingeyes account if you send an email to it.
If that account still exists, why can't i login, also if the message is something i should know, can the full message be sent to that email, i would also like to know if i need to change any product info from that account to this.
I posted here because it is a community account (product support are separate as i found out) and they don't seem to have a record of it there, the email came from community, so this seemed the most appropriate thread..
Thanks for the reply though, i'll try contacting an admin tomorrow if there's no resolution by then.
Hi Sparky Projects:
One of the Forum Administrators should be able to help you either delete your old All Seeing Eyes account or merge it with your Sparky Projects account, but you should still read Tony Weiss' June 2015 post Forum Login linked with Norton Account Login that Krusty13 recommended <here>.
Since June 2015 user logins for the Norton Community forum (https://community.norton.com/en/forums/) and their Norton Account (e.g., https://manage.norton.com/, https://my.norton.com/) have been linked together as a Single Sign On where the same username and password are required for all logins. If you haven't used your old All Seeing Eyes account since June 2015 you might not have been aware of these changes.

At least you've established that you are the owner of both the Sparky Projects and All Seeing Eyes accounts. If a Norton Customer Service rep can't help you via Live Chat, I'd suggest you try Krusty13's suggestion <here> and send a private message or e-mail to Forum Administrator (and Symantec employee) Tony Weiss (https://community.norton.com/en/users/tonyweiss) and ask Tony for help merging your two accounts. He might not see your message until after the weekend so don't worry if you don't hear from him for a few days.
For future reference, you posted your question in the Tech Outpost board, an "off-topic" board where users normally discuss general technical issues that are unrelated to their Norton product. Tony or one of the other Forum Administrators might have noticed your question if you had posted in the Forum Feedback board of the community, since the Forum Administrators monitor that board on a regular basis.
I went to the account, and indeed it does exist, i sent a PM and received a notification in the associated email, but when i try to reset the password it tells me the email doesn't exist on the forum
Simply put, if community is sending me the email to that address, then it should exist and i should be able to login to that account.... When you go the the All Seeing Eyes account, has it got a imilar email, or is it the one i'm using now ?
Sparky Projects:
How would we know the e-mail address associated with the All Seeing Eyes account? No one posting in this thread, including Gurus huwyngr and Krusty13, are Symantec employees - we're just users of Norton products like yourself. See Nikhil_CV's thread Norton Community Ranks and Levels - if a Norton employee responds to your post they will have a red badge labeled ADMIN or EMPLOYEE next to their username.
While you're logged in to the forum as user Sparky Projects, browse to the All Seeing Eyes account at https://community.norton.com/en/users/all-seeing-eyes, click the Send this user a private message link, and send a test message to the owner of that account. If the e-mail address for this All Seeing Eyes account is still active, an automatic notification will be sent to that e-mail address (which you presumably own) and you will be alerted that Sparky Projects sent a private message.
I have been to norton support as suggested by the first guru, they could not find the account and said that the community forum is separate.
Also, when logging in it asks for the email address, not username, i entered the email and pass, i even tried to reset pass, but it's stelling me that the email address doesn't exist on the system.
Simply put, if community is sending me the email to that address, then it should exist and i should be able to login to that account

to answer huwyngr's statement, can't hang around, i already admin a couple of communities as well as my own, which means i know something about accounts.

Hi Sparky Projects:
A search of users registered in this forum came up with an account for All Seeing Eyes (not allseeingeyes) at https://community.norton.com/en/users/all-seeing-eyes (last visited 02-May-2009 | 5:17PM, 0 messages posted). If that's the username you're looking for and you have trouble logging in you need to follow huwyngr's advice <here> and contact Norton Customer Support via Live Chat at www.norton.com/chat and ask them for assistance in either deleting this account or merging it with your Sparky Projects account.
When you are logged into the forum the Account link at the top of the page redirects you to your own (private) forum profile. Other users in the forum can't see any information in your forum profile except for basic information about your last login date and recent posts unless you've edited your forum profile to make other information public - and publicly sharing any personal information like your e-mail address is always a bad idea.
I have just been to norton support, support and community are separate, which you should have known, that's why i came here first.
My apologies -- I should have picked up that it was here in the Forums but I don't think of "accounts" in relation to the Forums but rather to the Norton products.
I've asked if someone can look into this situation. You really shouldn't post your email address as that is a good way to end up on a spam list, so if you come back in time to edit your post I'd suggest you delete it.

I need someone to check my other account if it exists on community why can't i login, reset says it doesn't exist, if it doesn't exist, why am i receiving emails from community ???

You need to login with your Norton account details now.
I don't quite follow all that but the only way to sort out subscription/account problems is by contacting the Norton OnLine Support team via CHAT which uses your computer keyboard and not the phone.
Contact Norton's OnLine Customer Support by CHAT and they will sort it out in no time -- CHAT is best from user reports of quick and painless!
Note that that link is to the USA/CAN website so if you are located elsewhere I'm sure you will be able to find the equivalent location on your local Symantec website; some pages have a link at the top right where you can select the country you are located in.
They have the tools and access to the databases to sort this out for you.
