@Gribouille342
No. No re-installs. If Gen doesn’t have this all fixed up in a couple of months when my subscription runs out, I’ll just try using what Windows provides. God help me. LOL
Thank You! ![]()
it works … you just don´t see it anymore ![]()
What I mean: open the norton window, and then, once opend,
right click on a file or a folder you would like to scan … you will see it working.
I tried that, doesn’t work.
sad…
There is a new build,
![]()
maybe, this might help.
Bonsoir,
V24 : 24.11.9615 (build 24.11.9615.893)
I don’t see an option or a left-hand column for a Usage Graph. Here’s what my “Performance” screenshot looks like …
@Scoop8 Indeed, you are on version 24.xx which no longer has the performance graph. My screenshot was from version 22.24.8.36 prior version. I am back to that version awaiting all the issues to be resolved with this 24.xx, even my account was borked for second time this year. I now have it all looking as it should by allowing my original sub to expire, removal of all licenses on all my machines. Manual cleanups, reboot, reinstall the older version and immediately disabling automatic updates. Using intelligent updater to stay current.
Its also apparent Norton is reading the forums and taking action. Backup issues are now gone with the exception of BU to local network drive / NAS that is networked. WE are indeed making progress which is the reason for this thread.

Is there anyone who knows how to remove the section circled in the picture, the one about performance scan? I ran a Smart Scan a while back and ever since, for weeks, this notification appears on my Norton screen and I can’t seem to get rid of it. It’s pretty annoying by now.
Yes, Uninstall this junk and just use Windows Security. All issues and annoyances with this terrible release will be gone. ![]()
SoulAsylum,
Thanks for the info
. Good point, progress is being made as I see they fixed the “Undefined” issue when checking the Inbox after a Scan has completed.
If they add the older “Put PC to Sleep” option after a Scan completes, I’ll be
as I’ve used that option for years with the older versions, waking up my PC at night with the Windows Task Scheduler right before a Scheduled Scan starts, then using that Sleep option to return my PC to sleep when the Scan completes.
Is there any way to revert back to version 22 if we’ve been forcibly “upgraded” to version 24?
I’m having too many issues that I don’t want to spend hours troubleshooting.
@gogogodzilla Follow these instructions from a previous post of mine here in this thread:
Edited: I have 3 devices reverted with this scenario. The key is DO NOT manually run live updates and make sure that setting is disabled. Use Intelligent Updater to keep definitions up to date.

There’s no link to where I can download version 22, though.
Did you see this link that I provided. https://norton.com/cspn360
I have the installer for 22.24, let me see if I can zip and post it here.
Edited: File size is too big even compressed. Run LU once or twice and get your install to 22.24.8.36 then disable automatic updates.

Ok folks. I knew I had this link somewhere. Here is the direct download link for version 22.24.8.36

To anyone. I thought I’d share an inconsistency I’ve constantly seen since the first version of Norton 24 after running a full system scan.
Please note the number of items here that were supposedly scanned.
Now if we take a look into security history and see how many items were scanned, it never matches.
In comparison, to the many many much larger issues we are all facing, this is tiny. Yet I thought it should be known.
hi
thank you, this is indeed a part of what i was looking for
but wasn’t there a way to see the process that were actually active, and see directly the norton insight info from there in the old version ?
Just an FYI for everyone watching this thread. A update that states it corrects a boatload of the issues presented here has been posted. Local backup issues appear to be the major focal point as several threads about it are linked. Please read the announcement here:
- Improvements in performance based scan
- Below issues have been fixed:
- Smart scan detects DNS hijack during Network scan – Thread
- Norton resets attrib flag to Archive when it scans a disk - Thread
- Bug in Norton notifications are saying “Undefined” and will not clear - Thread
- App crashes when backup module is initialised
- Blue spinner appears when accessing Cloud Backup set
- Sign-in loop when accessing Cloud Backup set
- Other minor bug fixes and under-the-hood changes
Indeed we are making progress. Thanks to everyone for participating in this thread. Norton IS listening.
